Acceptable Use Policy
Part of the Terms of Service. It exists because the output of Cash Over Short concerns people, and people are owed a fair process.
You agree that you will
- Treat every alert as a prompt to look at transaction records, not as a finding about a person.
- Review the underlying transactions yourself, and give the employee concerned an opportunity to explain, before taking any action that affects their employment, pay, hours or standing.
- Give every notice of monitoring that the law where you operate requires, before using the service, and keep those notices current.
- Apply the same review process to everyone, regardless of any protected characteristic.
- Keep dashboard access limited to people in your business who need it.
You agree that you will not
- Use Cash Over Short output as the sole or primary basis for discipline, termination, or any other adverse action.
- Present Cash Over Short output to any employee, authority or third party as a determination that misconduct occurred.
- Use the service to screen job applicants, or in any way that would make its output a consumer report.
- Attempt to obtain, share or compare data about any merchant other than your own.
- Use the service in Quebec or in any country where it is not offered.
We may suspend accounts that use the service in a way that this policy does not allow.
